On to the report… headed out of Bow channel yesterday in a 20ft bay boat straight to the lighthouse, then decided to veer west and hit the Sugarloaf ledge in about 17ft of h2o. Brought a total scenario of chum and started off the occasion appropriate away. Regardless of the information of many on below, we did NOT wait 10 minutes to allow frenzy get started, my aged gentleman couldn’t stand it. He instantly went down with a butterflied frozen ballyhoo and hooked up with some one inch quick of lawful Muttons… last but not least I gave in and went down with snapper rigs.
As extensive as I kept the chum heading, the fish have been snapping… apart from when the sharks moved in. Was ready to carry one particular 4 footer to the boat… the other people reduce our 45lb leaders. I also sunk a seven inch blue runner that bought inhaled by a fish I couldn’t change with 20lb main line. It at some point must’ve rubbed the line on rocks since it snapped way up superior previously mentioned the chief. Any thought what this could’ve been? Do the goliaths arrive in that shallow?
Catch of the working day was when my father caught a 23in Mutton on a stay shrimp that gave his snapper rod and reel a superior scream.
Currently being that it was our very first working day, we stuffed up the box with lawful but on the small facet snapper (11 inch mangos, fourteen in yellowtails, and 10 in lanes). Now we are going to be a lot more selective. All in all incredible very first working day of fishing! I felt like the plan was stable, our deal with set up was dialed in, and our boat was the best measurement… all thanks to you men!
Will report on the modern action as very well… keep tuned 🙂
